Welcome! ¡Bienvenidos! Marhaba! Mingalaba! 欢迎

Hey y’all and welcome to Open Shores English.

I wanted to give a bit of an overview of the project here, to help our visitors understand the purpose (and the vision) of this website.

This is an online space open to people of all ages, all languages, all religions, all skin tones, and all ideas (yes, even the bad ones) where we can come together and enrich the conversation about our relationship with Mother Earth and our fellow man.

For this reason, I like to think of it as an open shore.

Though resources are limited at the time of writing, my dream is to create a place where students, parents, and educators can support each other in their dreams to see a better tomorrow.

If our students’ dreams are to make big changes in the world, to dive head-on into the rapidly-advancing field of clean energy, eco-consciousness, and environmental protection, we will be here to help them develop an academic plan and grow their network of like-minded people.

If our students, on the other hand, are dreaming of ways to manifest great changes in themselves and developing their own eco-consciousness, in order to truly “be the change they wish to see in the world”, we want to provide a safe space to foster and nurture their ideas, share their observations, and feel not only supported but connected to others in their personal growth.

Additionally, if you are not a student but would like to make your own contributions- say, by providing a class or promoting a learning opportunity- we can make sure you are able to reach an audience that would benefit from such.

In the coming months, I will share content related to English-language learning, trending topics in the conservation community, and educational opportunities around the world.

It is my sincerest wish that the visitors of this page interact with enthusiasm to share their hope, their recommendations, and their own resources. Please do not hesitate to get into touch and thanks for coming by OSE.
