*Based on CEFR and SDG framework to help Global Goals supporters achieve 6.5 + IELTS speaking scores and obtain B2 First certification* Module 1: Assess and Progress Week 1: Assessment & Task 1 Participants undergo a comprehensive assessment to identify their current language proficiency level and areas for improvement. Week 2: Goals Participants define their specific communication goals and outline the steps they will take to reach long-term goals without burning out. Week 3: Overcoming Language Barriers Participants explore strategies for overcoming language barriers in interactions with stakeholders, such as active listening, paraphrasing, and seeking clarification. Week 4: Confidence Participants engage in speaking exercises and role-plays to build confidence in expressing their ideas and opinions on sustainability topics. Module 2: Honing in on Skills Week 5: Vocabulary Participants engage in vocabulary-building exercises and learn industry-specific terminology to enhance their ability to discuss sustainability topics confidently. Week 6: Pronunciation Participants receive targeted training on pronunciation and intonation to improve their clarity and fluency when speaking about complex sustainability issues. Week 7: Enhancing listening and comprehensions skills Participants practice listening to and comprehending authentic sustainability-related materials, such as presentations and stakeholder interactions. Module 3: Putting Skills into Practice Week 8: Practicing Effective Presentation Skills Participants learn and practice techniques for delivering impactful presentations on sustainability topics, including structuring content, using visual aids, and engaging with stakeholders. Week 9: Applying Language Skills in Real-Life Scenarios Participants apply their language skills by giving a mock presentation (10 minutes, 5 for Q&A) Gain practical experience and receive feedback. Week 10: Continuous Improvement and Practice Participants are encouraged to continue practicing and improving their language skills through self-study, peer collaboration, and ongoing support from English for Earth's community. By following this 10-step program, participants will experience a significant transformation in their communication skills, enabling them to speak clearly about- and present on- complex topics in the sustainability sector.
